Christian Andrade is a father with roots in the Ecuadorian Andes. He values community, nature, and social justice. Christian enjoys reading, poetry, dancing, hiking, and endurance sports, and is passionate about gender and race equality, immigrant rights, and ethics surrounding artificial intelligence.
“My journey to INELDA and end-of-life care began after a long career working in the engineering and technology world. I felt drawn to more meaningful work, which led me to explore maranasati practices—mindfulness of death—as a way to more fully and joyfully engage with life. My own experiences with loss within my family also stirred me to want to learn more, and to stand in the gaps supporting those in their own dying process.”
Christian is an INELDA-trained end-of-life doula and currently serves as an educator assistant for INELDA trainings. He volunteers at two hospices supporting adults and children.
