The value of having end-of-life doulas in your care providing system has real and beneficial outcomes. Doulas increase patient encounters, improve patient and family outcomes and thus CAHPS scores, supports informed consent, lowers cost and use of aggressive end-of-life treatments creating better quality of life through the dying process and makes your organization more desirable for people looking for support. This workshop will guide you through how to add end-of-life doulas as part of your care team. Integrating End-of-Life Doulas into Clinical Models will meet for one 3-hour session.
