A Guide to INELDA Benefits for Members and Trained Doulas
by INELDA
In order to best support our community, we are highlighting the different resources available through logging in to your INELDA account. To help you understand the assets and tools we have created for our different types of stakeholders, we are defining the different relationships available through INELDA.
Trained doulas are individuals who have taken an end-of-life doula training. This could include folks who took the training and never became members, as well as those who are former members. Trained members are those who have taken an end-of-life doula training and have a current tier membership or former annual membership (phasing out on 12/31/23). Members are individuals who have not taken end-of-life training with INELDA, who may have attended or will attend a workshop or class, and are supporters of the organization and our mission.

Both members and those who have trained with INELDA have benefits that were created to assist in their development and roles as end-of-life doulas. This article was written to help you access those tools and answer any questions you may have. That said, always feel free to reach out to us with any questions!

End-of-Life Trained Doulas
Upon completion of your training, doulas are directed to their INELDA account, which they can reach by logging in from our website using the button in the upper corner. Your first step is to navigate to the Doula Tools menu item once you have signed in. You will be asked to agree to INELDA’s scope of practice and code of ethics. Once those agreements are signed, a drop-down menu will appear allowing access to the following logos, forms, and tools:
- Trained doula logo
- Sample client agreement
- Sample client intake form
- Doula presentation PowerPoint
- Doula kit checklist
- Self-care wheel
You do not have to be an INELDA member to access these tools. These tools are available after you have completed your training and are accessible at any time in the future.
INELDA-Trained Members
As a trained member of INELDA, you have access to the tools mentioned above as well as additional benefits under the Member Benefits menu item. The benefits menu is only available to members with an active membership. This will look different depending on which tier of membership you have. The list below is highlighting Tier 3 benefits, so as to capture all the options available.

INELDA Members (Who Did Not Train With INELDA)
For those of you who joined to support the work we do or trained with another organization, but are in this space to connect with others and receive benefits, you have access to the following in your tool bar depending on your tier level. The list below is highlighting Tier 3 benefits, so as to capture all the options available.
Starting in 2024 we will be adding additional member benefits for those of you who have not trained with us but may have become a member to receive discounts off of workshops, classes, or certification. We are creating additional networking opportunities for you and the community at large.
Some Other Important Things to Know
- Member discounts for all trainings, classes, and workshops are applied automatically when you are logged into your INELDA account. There is no need for a code. Make sure to sign into your existing member account when completing an event form or registering for a new course.
- We have added two new fields for you to update in your doula directory profile. Update your listing to include any languages spoken and whether you offer virtual services. In addition, visitors to the directory can now search by doula name and virtual services.
- There is often confusion regarding the language around certification. While there is no national certification for end-of-life doulas, INELDA provides certification to doulas who have already trained and want to have more support for their work. If you have trained with us, you will receive a certificate of completion and are then considered an INELDA-trained doula. If you have gone through the certification process, you are an INELDA-certified doula.
- For members, trained doulas, and certified doulas, we have created logos to support your practice. If you have an outdated INELDA logo or use the one from our website, we are asking that you please replace it with the ones found in your INELDA Account menu. If you are a member and trained or certified, you are welcome to use both if membership is in good standing.
