Every month we come together around a theme that allows for deeper discussion around deathcare and doula support—and for us to just get to know one another. The format always includes a breakout room with other members as well as a shared group conversation. Over the past few months, the Community Meetups have centered around topics such as Joys and Challenges, Deathcare in Your Community, Knowledge Share: Let’s Exchange Resources, and a screening of the documentary film A Good Death. 

These live and interactive gatherings were developed to create an environment to meet, share, and reflect. INELDA is excited to offer these opportunities for members to engage with one another and the organization. Due to the many locations of our members, we have been offering the meetups at various times to accommodate as many people as possible. Please share what times work best for you!

As always, we are open to your ideas about how we can continue to make this space your own. For example, Niki Staab shared: “I loved it. I think a second breakout session with another group would be great.
