Home > INELDA Classes
Our class offerings are designed as a multi-session learning experience. Learners have the opportunity to explore topics around deathcare that they may have either touched on in an INELDA training, decide that a class is a great compendium for another training they took, or even a way to dive into this work.

Going Deeper Classes
INELDA’s Going Deeper class series will expand the fundamental core training and will allow learners to explore these topics with a more robust approach.
The art of storytelling...
Going Deeper | LifeWriting is intended to teach storytelling and provide a roadmap for writing and developing your own or someone else’s life story. A doula or a dying person’s support network has a unique opportunity to honor and hold space for the stories that a terminal individual may share as they transition from this life to the next. Anyone from any background can practice LifeWriting – for the living and the dying.
Our experience of grief is uniquely our own...
Going Deeper | Grief is designed to meet the needs of people who desire knowledge and skills to support themselves or others processing grief. Learners will explore the grief process for themselves and others, develop skills to cope with personal feelings related to death-related and non-death-related loss and grief, strengthen skills in helping relationship, and identify ways one can advocate on behalf of the bereaved.
Navigating Classes
INELDA’s Navigating series prepares doulas to approach deathcare with a specific understanding of a type of illness, a religious approach, or the many different types of death that can occur.
Understanding cognitive impairment at the end of life...
Navigating Dementia is designed to unfold the “typical” progression for an Alzheimer’s type dementia and explore methods of support for doulas. Educators will cover cognitive decline in many parts of the brain and how those changes affect the way doulas attend to the dying when dementia is present. This class is intended for death doulas who have completed an end-of-life doula training, as it examines all the tools and skills we teach in our primary doula training through the lens of dementia.

Learn to grow your doula practice
More people recognize the need to face death more openly. As a result, a demand for end-of-life doulas is going to grow rapidly. To meet this demand, doulas like you will open private practices or join doula group practices working in communities across the country. Our online End-of-Life Doula Business Development Class is designed to provide the knowledge and tools needed to build or expand a private practice.
