Death plays a role in all of our lives. We at INELDA believe that having some education around death and dying is important. As non-medical companions, doulas have the opportunity to provide holistic support encompassing emotional, physical, educational and practical care to anyone, in any environment, who requests their care.
Our trainings offer doulas a foundational approach to providing care at the end-of-life. Co-created by many voices and lived experience, our training welcomes anyone to learn how to be a doula.

End-of-Life Doula Training
The intention of INELDA’s End-of-Life Doula Training is to empower individuals to become self-aware stewards of deathcare, who foster autonomous choice-making at the end of life. In this way, doulas work synonymously with the goals of trauma-informed care and palliative care. We invite doulas to participate in the movements for transformative justice, working first to normalize death and dying within themselves and then educating others. Doulas can act as bridges and gap-fillers in systems marked by inequity and oppression within our communities.
Hospice Doula Training

We recognize that each person’s journey to this training is unique, driven by a shared passion to make a meaningful impact at the end-of-life. Whether you aim to deepen your knowledge of deathcare, serve your community as a hospice volunteer, expand your volunteer role, or empower local hospices and long-term care facilities, this program will equip you with the tools, expertise, and confidence to make a difference.
Caregiver Support Training
Caregiver Support Training
Caregiver Support Training is designed for those individuals who may be currently or in the future supporting a close loved one through their death, but also for those that are not yet sure they want to become a doula and are interested in exploring more about this work. Our educators create an environment for learning that will help you curate end-of-life experiences in which family and friends feel safe, valued, and in control. In some cases loved ones have taken the class together in order to design how they can best serve each other.
