INELDA Update – SEPTEMBER 2022

WELCOME BOARD MEMBER ANGELYN FRAZER-GILES

We are excited to add more expertise to our board of trustees. This past month Angelyn Frazer-Giles joined the board, bringing a wide range of skills and experiences.

Angelyn Frazer-Giles has over 25 years of experience in community organizing, policy analysis, and advocacy on civil and human rights issues and criminal justice. She is the founder and CEO of Heirloom Estate and Legacy Preservation (HELP), LLC, a firm that provides consultation, webinars, and tools designed to educate individuals about the elements of end-of-life planning. HELP encourages and empowers individuals to have open dialogue, mediation, or counseling with family members prior to a major illness, incapacity, or death to ensure personal affairs and effects are handled according to the wishes of the individual.

She also consults with criminal justice organizations in forming strategic partnerships and develops and manages special projects associated with collateral consequences of incarceration, race in the criminal justice system, policing, juvenile justice, and numerous other criminal justice issues.

INELDA JOINS C-TAC and NACHW

Over the recent months INELDA has joined as a member in organizations whose policies and advocacy work supports the work of end-of-life doulas and others in the field of death care. We are excited to call ourselves members of the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC) and the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW).

C-TAC mission is to ensure support for those experiencing serious illness and for those who care for them by serving as the national advocacy voice and catalyst for an influential network of coalition members, partners, and policy makers.

The mission of NACHW is to unify the voices of community health workers and strengthen the profession’s capacity to promote healthy communities.

INELDA is excited to lend our voice and those of our members to support the work of these organizations.
