End of Life Conversations

The podcast End of Life Conversations was founded in 2023 by Rev. Mother Annalouiza Armendariz and Rev. Wakil David Matthews, two interfaith ministers based in Denver and Edmonds, Washington. The podcast engages experts in the field of death and dying as well as friends, neighbors, and community members.

Hosts and guests have explored topics such as healing and death through poetry and writing, funeral planning, plant medicine, prison hospice, death anxiety, and caring for the homeless and trans communities. The reverends’ observations and poignant questioning (plus their pleasant voices) make this podcast a great listen.

Their own work in Reiki, herbalism, funeral planning, grief, meditation, social change, and earth justice work, as well as their shared work as hospice volunteers, informs their broad guest selection.

Annalouiza and Wakil offer classes on end-of-life planning, grief counseling, and interfaith (or no faith) spiritual direction. Subscribers to their podcast are given an end-of-life planning checklist and resources document.
