I grew up in the Ecuadorian Andes, where I developed a deep appreciation for community, mindfulness, and the natural world. After working in the nanotechnology industry for over two decades managing IT and engineering teams, I felt a calling to explore new, and more meaningful areas. My journey led me to the practice of Maranasati (mindfulness of death) and a passion for advocating for marginalized communities on issues like gender and race equality, immigrant rights, and AI ethics.
This year, I will be pursuing INELDA’s End-of-Life Doula certification, combining my professional experience with my commitment to compassionate service. I aim to be active in local communities, striving to increase access to end-of-life resources, support, and advocacy, particularly for Spanish-speaking groups. In my spare time, I find rejuvenation through reading, poetry, hiking, and practicing endurance sports amidst nature’s embrace.
