
Neiasha Russell is a former school counselor with over 15 years of combined experience in elementary, middle, and high school counseling; as well as extensive expertise in program development, community engagement, and relationship management with various corporations and organizations. Neiasha served on both Cobb County School District’s Crisis Response Team and her local school’s crisis team, and she is Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trained (ASIST).
She holds a master of education (M.A.Ed.) in school counseling from Grand Valley State University and a B.A. in psychology with an emphasis in learning behavior disorders from Hampton University. In addition, she is certified in grief counseling and child and adolescent grief counseling through The American Institute of Health Care Professionals.
Neiasha has appeared on several podcasts related to death, dying, and grief, where she shares her deep insights and compassionate perspectives. A sought-after guest speaker, she has facilitated support groups, trainings, and discussions around these topics. Her altruism is also evident in her role as a mentor and volunteer with hospice.
She is the founder and executive director of Harriett’s Daughters®, Inc., which supports girls affected by maternal cancer loss, and the founder of Instructions for Tomorrow®, LLC. Neiasha is also an INELDA-trained end-of-life doula, offering vital support to individuals who are planning for death, facing a terminal illness, or navigating the final stages of life. She is the author of Life’s Final Chapters, a guided journal that helps individuals explore their thoughts and feelings around death, dying, and grief.
She also hosts a YouTube channel, Death, Dying, and Grief… and Everything In Between, where she shares practical guidance and personal reflections to help normalize end-of-life conversations.
Personal experiences with death, loss, and grief have deeply shaped Neiasha’s perspective, enriching her work with empathy and authenticity. She is committed to creating supportive spaces where individuals can openly navigate the complexities of grief and end-of-life experiences
