Webinar Moderator:
  • Nicole Heidbreder | INELDA Educator and End-of-Life Doula
Webinar Guest:
  • Megan Sheldon | Be Ceremonial Co-Founder

Megan Sheldon is the co-founder of Be Ceremonial, the world’s first guided ritual app and online community. Be Ceremonial inspires and empowers individuals to create their own ceremonies across the life cycle, with a focus on grief and loss. Megan is a cultural mythologist, secular celebrant, and INELDA-trained, end-of-life doula who is striving to change the cultural narratives around death, dying and ritual.

For our last webinar of 2023, Megan guides participants in a community ceremony, inviting everyone to close the year with intention and meaning. She offers us a framework to draw from when crafting our own ceremonies, and hold space for the range of emotions that may surface during our time together. We focused on rituals for self-care and community-care, as we prepare to close one year and welcome the next. We hope you enjoy viewing this special event.

Megan is joined by INELDA educator Nicole Heidbreder. Together they create an intentional environment to not only discuss ritual, but celebrate and honor the current year and welcome in the next.

*When viewing the event, our participants were asked to have a rock, pen, paper, and scissors while following along with the ritual guidance. Join in by gathering your supplies or come as you are!

Guest Speaker Bio:

Megan Sheldon’s passion is building community through storytelling. She’s the founder of Narrative Communications, a brand storytelling studio, and the co-founder of Seeking Ceremony, a bespoke ceremony studio. Megan has convened hundreds of workshops, retreats, and ceremonies that span the life cycle. After her experience with recurrent miscarriages, she started to offer ceremonies for others and curate grief ritual boxes that she donated to her local hospital to support families and transform the way we address pregnancy and infant loss.
