Eben Alexander | Best Selling Author and Academic Neurosurgeon
Join in a fascinating exploration of near-death experience, the nature of consciousness, and the power of specially engineered tones to create altered states. Eben Alexander an academic neurosurgeon for over 25 years had a powerful near-death experience in 2008 that totally changed his life. He wrote about that experience in the number one best-selling book, Proof of Heaven. He has since written two other books, The Map of Heaven, and with Karen Newell, Living in a Mindful Universe.
Karen has dedicated herself over many years to experimenting with various alternative practices to understanding the nature of reality, such as lucid dreaming, telepathy, remote viewing, and energy healing. In 2010, she joined Kevin Kossi, a sound engineer, to create Sacred Acoustics, a company devoted to producing original recordings containing binaural beats that can help a person reach expanded states of consciousness. Now, she also works closely with Eben Alexander, presenting with him at international workshops. In addition, she co-authored with him Living in a Mindful Universe, which was released by Rodale Press in October 2017.
Eben and Karen see dying and death as prime opportunities for understanding our relationship with the universe at large. In fact, they see dying, or “crossing the boundary,” as a powerful step in the process of soul growth, part of the transcendental journey they believe we all participate in and share. In this hour-long webinar, we spoke with Eben and Karen about Eben’s near-death experience, the research he has done since, the effectiveness of sound in producing altered states, and how their work might impact our understanding of consciousness. In this webinar, they speak about how they encourage people to be inspired by the power of unconditional love in their daily lives and in their work in communities.
The recording of this webinar is available to Tier 2 & 3 members as part of their INELDA membership benefits.
