Jose Contreras, MD is a Pain Medicine Specialist in Hackensack, NJ and has over 23 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Universidad De Francisco Marroquin medical school in 1999. He is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center. His office accepts new patients and telehealth appointments.
Dr. Contreras will guide us through the palliative care physician’s role at end of life and his model for helping the patient and their families navigate the difficulties when faced with a terminal diagnosis. As a board member of International End of Life Doula Association, Dr. Contreras is aware of the critical role doulas play at end of life, and the importance of our services within the palliative care setting.
