We can not control grief, but we can explore our capacity to cope. The second of INELDA’s three-part child loss series delves into the immediacy of loss. Join Myra Sack, founder of E-motion and INELDA educators, Nzinga E. Abdullah-Aziz, Omni Kitts Ferrara, and Greg Hedler for a conversation that centers around the diagnosis and loss of Myra’s daughter, Havi from Tay-Sachs disease.
We will come together to discuss Myra’s experiences with Havi’s initial diagnosis through to her creation of E-motion which helps communities process grief. This webinar will look at the model Myra created to develop the capacity to tap into self-awareness, self-trust, and self-compassion as a way to connect with community. E-Motion evolved out of a new way of living with the most difficult reality, blending Myra’s lived experience and knowledge as a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care provider with her lifelong identity as an athlete and career in social impact. Discover the 3 programs she developed: Movement Community Models, “Rx to Feel” Audio Series, and Virtual Sacred Circles.
Each voice in this panel carries with deep knowledge in this space. Their valuable insights will expand on dealing with initial loss, how physical movement can support us through grief, and the benefit of ritual and community as we process grief.
